Terms of service

Last updated July 11, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Maivor AB, Sweden (“ActionOwl”, “we”) for the service currently hosted at briefowl.io and formerly named BriefOwl. By creating an account you accept them.

What the service is

The current private alpha reads Search Console and, when granted, Google Analytics data for sites you select. It creates weekly Briefs and scanner Findings with suggested next steps. A Bing API key can be verified and stored, but Bing ingestion is not yet a live capability. Access is read-only: nothing in a Brief changes your site, CMS, repository, analytics property, or ad account.

Your account and acceptable use

You are responsible for your credentials and for having the right to connect the data sources you connect. Don’t abuse the service: no attempts to breach other workspaces, no automated scraping of the app, no reselling access without an agreement with us.

Plans and quotas

Workspace quotas may limit the number of generated Briefs in a calendar month. The current allowance, use, and reset date appear in the product navigation. The private alpha does not currently offer a self-service paid plan or upgrade flow.

Analysis, not advice

Briefs and Findings are automated analysis of connected data. They may be incomplete or wrong and are decision support, not professional advice. Check the cited source periods and underlying accounts before acting on anything consequential. Suggested next steps are recommendations, not approved or executed work.

Availability and changes

The service is provided as-is, without an uptime guarantee, and it evolves: features may change as the product develops. We will not remove data you created without notice. We may update these terms; material changes are announced in the app or by email, and continued use after the effective date is acceptance.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect damages, including lost profits or lost data caused by decisions taken on the basis of a brief.

Termination

You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms or put the service at risk, with notice where practical.

Governing law

Swedish law governs these terms. Disputes are resolved by Swedish courts, with Göteborgs tingsrätt as the first instance where the rules allow a choice.
