About ActionOwl

ActionOwl is a marketing action intelligence product served at actionowl.io. It reads the measurement data you connect and turns it into a small number of things worth doing, each carrying the evidence it came from. It is currently a private alpha, available by request.
Who operates it
ActionOwl is built and operated by Maivor AB (org. no. 559539-4726), Sparrgrensgatan 10, 416 54 Göteborg, Sweden. Maivor AB is the company behind the product and the data controller for it. The contact for anything on this site, including press, security reports, and data requests, is daniel@maivor.ai.

The name
The product is written as one word, ActionOwl, and it shipped under the name BriefOwl until July 2026. The rename happened on 2026-07-20, when the product moved to actionowl.io. The old briefowl.io address is retired and no longer serves the product. References to BriefOwl in older material describe this same product.
What it does today
The private alpha reads evidence and produces one weekly Brief. It does not change anything it connects to. Concretely:
- Google Search Console — connected read-only, and the primary source of evidence.
- Google Analytics 4 — optional, connected read-only, used for business context such as conversions.
- Bing Webmaster Tools — key storage only. Nothing is ingested or analyzed from Bing today.
- No write access anywhere. There is no GitHub, CMS, advertising, or other execution path. Nothing ActionOwl recommends can alter a connected system.
It also reads the public pages of the sites you connect, so a recommendation about a page can quote what that page currently says.
Where it is going
The direction, which is not available today, is a governed action layer: work that carries an owner, an exact target, and acceptance criteria; execution that must show its scope and limits and get human approval before anything changes; and verification kept separate from the recommendation, including the honest result that an outcome was inconclusive. Anything on this site describing that layer is describing intent, not current capability.
